Things to consider at 3:30am
I've got insomnia and have reached that tender hour of the night when great truths reveal themselves, albeit in a warped fashion. So this'll be a rare break from the political posts; god knows if I tried to say Marxist stuff now I'd end up a Posadist and start preaching about the advanced alien socialist civilization.
Having dealt with strange comment box spam in this blog, I've noticed a new trend: journal-like spam. Somehow, someone's come up with a program that registers a membership at blogger or livejournal, writes passable-sounding blog entries and throws in a link to an ad site. For example. Here the blogger muses:
Notice that the computer program is actually anti-imperialist, suggesting the President "yank back the soldiers and let the country heal itself." It's just as easy as online shopping. Which, when you strip away all the liberal crap about humanitarian intervention and 'fostering good governance', is basically true.
Science fiction writers have long warned of the rise of malevolent, self-replicating AI. But if this is any indication, the machines would be far more peaceable than we are. Perhaps the cold, binary logic of computers recognizes imperialist war is entirely irrational. Oh, it appears I've ended up writing Posada-esque after all.
Must - stop fighting - bring earth woman - discount perfume

I wonder when the troops will actually come. Yeah, like that will happen soon. I'm sure in sometime later than we think after the pipeline is done and the President stands to make a bunch of money. That is when. And it is not like he cannot yank back the soldiers and let the country heal itself. It should be just as easy as finding some sort of website about anything random, like felce azzurra, and paying a little attenion to the topic. Ya know?'Felce Azzurra' is hyperlinked to one of those strange online shopping portals that just lead to other online shopping portals - in this case, grouped around the theme of discount designer perfume.
