New points of entry to the blogosphere
Here are some blogs to check out:
Lazy LaFargue is an impassioned Marxist blog on cultural studies and politics. It features the anti-imperialist struggle in Haiti as an ongoing theme - although the author is currently taking a break from blogging, there's a lot of good material there.
The Bellman is witty, broad-ranging and progressive, rescuing facts from the everyday before they slide out of view and putting them in their proper context.
Law and Disorder features erudite writings on law, the state and Marxism. Owner Rob has also found time to respond to my recent unhappy musings about cultural studies. If he's only 19 like his profile says, then I'm a little awe-struck.
Are we still useful?, another great discovery from the culture debate, has amusing anecdotes about culture (from a self-professed economics student, no less) and snatches of the everyday from a left perspective.
I'm off on a not-well-deserved holiday and won't be blogging much for the next couple of weeks - which is frustrating, because I have at least two book reviews to get through. But the above links should satiate readers' desire for left-wing commentary, I hope.
