Stop commodifying my heroes
I'm no Guevarist, but this is obscene. 'The Da Vinci Method', a self-help book, asks:
Maybe I should've gone into marketing instead...
Apparently the same thing that motivates Steve Jobs to make computers, motivates revolutionaries:
Billionaires for Bolshevism
Che didn't fight because he was a thrill-seeker, a self-serving "hero". He fought for his ideals:
Did You Know - Virtually all famous Risk Takers, Rebels, and Revolutionaries have the same personality?
Maybe I should've gone into marketing instead...Apparently the same thing that motivates Steve Jobs to make computers, motivates revolutionaries:
Discover if you have the same wild personality type as Che Guevara...By this logic, anyone who auditions for American Idol is like Che. This lets the author advertise the same personality test further down the webpage, but this time asking "Discover if you have the same wild personality type as Richard Branson." Billionaire or socialist revolutionary - bit of a crowbar difference, don't you think?
What are the qualities of this personality type?
You crave thrill, excitement and risk
You are charismatic
You are a highly creative problem solver
You are impulsive in nature
You are ambitious and industrious
You have tons of energy,
... but only for what you're truly interested in
You love to be the hero in any emergency
Billionaires for BolshevismChe didn't fight because he was a thrill-seeker, a self-serving "hero". He fought for his ideals:
Let me say, with the risk of appearing ridiculous, that the true revolutionary is guided by strong feelings of love. It is impossible to think of an authentic revolutionary without this quality. This is perhaps one of the great dramas of a leader; he must combine an impassioned spirit with a cold mind and make painful decision without flinching. Our vanguard revolutionaries must idealise their love for the people, for the most hallowed causes, and make it one and indivisible. They cannot descend, with small doses of daily affection, to the terrain where ordinary men put their love into practice.Che fought to rid the world of capitalist scum like Richard Branson, and charlatans that would reduce the socialist liberation struggle to ADHD.
