A song for disappointed radicals
Nous aimons le Quebec
For all the progressives who love Canada so much they'd never consider Quebec independence: it was the evil separatists who stopped a Conservative majority government. Not because they hate the anglos, but because they hate the Tories. And not because of personality, but because of right-wing Tory policy, on arts funding and youth crime. So, anglo progressives, if the independantistes are as left-wing as you are, and there are enough of them to swing an election, isn't it about time to show some solidarity and support Quebec's national aspirations?

Bourgeois democracy is evilllll! Evil I tells ya!
A minority voice
Will this election finally make good people question a minority government as the best possible outcome for progressives? If more of the same - more war in Afghanistan, tax cuts for the rich and waffling on green policy - is the best we can hope for, surely it's time to reconsider what our goals are? Is it not time for everyone on the left of the NDP, and further left, to plan for a movement that works for social justice beyond elections, in the streets and workplaces?
